Wrekin Construction is able to offer a range of land regeneration services, including mine infilling, containment, removal, solidification, soil stabilisation and bioremediation. The expertise, technology and resources are in place to deal with both in-situ and ex-situ treatment together with disposal if required.

We have established partnerships with specialist environmental consulting engineers and practitioners with whom we can prepare alternative strategies for remediation sites and design and build solutions for contaminated and brownfield sites.

In addition to the above we are able to combine the expertise from within the Group in all areas of civil engineering and building with those of our specialist consulting engineering partners, to offer professional advice to assist in the preparation and implementation of commercial, leisure and industrial development strategies, for both brownfield and greenfield sites.

We specialise in the infilling of abandoned mine workings and the reclamation of former industrial sites where contaminated land is a key feature. Reclamation and ground stabilisation projects have been carried out on the site of former power stations, collieries, steelworks, railway goods yards and former mines. In addition, improvement and construction schemes have also been carried out at household waste and landfill sites.
