Quality
In common with clients and customers Wrekin requires a right first time approach to the services it delivers. This is delivered through a series of proven systems and procedures developed for the whole works process together with competent and motivated staff working in an environment where personal development is encouraged and service delivery improvements and innovation are incentivised.

The quality management regime adopted has the following elements:

  • Policies stating quality, safety, environment and human resource management objectives
  • Plans outlining how risks will be identified and addressed to achieve agreed targets
  • Operational processes, procedures and work instructions
  • Procedures for checking, corrective action, audit and monitoring performance

Wrekin operates a British Standards Institute (BSI) accredited Quality Management System (QMS) to BS EN ISO 9001:2000. Within the framework of the QMS are the procedures necessary to effectively control all aspects of the construction process.

Wrekin also manages the design process in accordance with its QMS procedures which apply to design carried out in-house and by external consultants. These procedures comply with BS EN ISO 9001:2000, with the design management being undertaken by their Project Manager.

By applying and progressively developing their management systems and procedures Wrekin’s aims are to manage the works in order to:

  • Satisfy clients' needs and expectations
  • Proactively identify issues that impede the efficiency and success of the service
  • Monitor and benchmark improving performance
  • Develop an environment in which all staff feel fulfilled and enjoy their work
  • Generate a fair and sustainable return for the business
  • Build meaningful relationships
  • Ensure that the success of any contract generates the desire within the client for the relationship to continue beyond the initial project.
