Northwich Salt Mines Stabilisation Project wins ICE NW Merit Award 2008

The Northwich Salt Mines Stabilisation project has won the prestigious ICE NW Merit Award 2008.

The award recognises and encourages excellence and imaginative concepts in civil engineering practice in the ICE North West Region and was awarded equally to Wrekin Construction Company Limited, our Client, Vale Royal Borough Council and our Designer, Arup.

The award was presented by David Orr, President of the Institution of Civil Engineers, and received by David Billington and Noel O'Neill of Vale Royal Borough Council, together with Chris Osborne of Wrekin Construction, at the ICE North West 81st Annual Awards Dinner held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Liverpool on Friday 8 February 2008.
