Neville Street Environmental Improvements
Wrekin has been awarded a £3.6m contract by Leeds City Council for improvements to the Neville Street area of the city. Completion is due in October 2008.
Neville Street forms the key pedestrian and vehicle gateway into and out of Leeds and is the main gateway into the city from M621, M62 and M1. The current condition of the space is unattractive and creates a negative perception of the area and entrance to the city. This project relates to the area of Neville Street underneath the railway bridge and aims to improve the appearance, lighting and acoustics of the space.
